Miko joined our family in September of 2010 from a breeder here in Texas. If you are interested in the breeder’s info, feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to share it!
Our boy had a rough time getting a home, and had a few people flake out on him before we came along. I think their loss is our gain, and God works in mysterious ways 🙂
I have gotten quite a few questions as to whether it is “wrong” to have a husky in Texas, but I assure you they are built for all-weather, and their ingenious double-layered coats insulate them from the cold as well as the hot weather. All you have to do is use common sense; if it’s too hot for you to be outside, it’s too hot for your husky as well!
After a lot of research on canine nutrition, we started feeding Miko a prey-model raw food diet in February 2011. Miko has done fabulously on this diet, his coat is shinier than ever and his teeth are amazingly white not to mention how overall HEALTHY he is! If you would like more information on the raw diet, canine nutrition, or just want healthier food options for your dog or cat please see the post about it, email me at BrazosRawFedPets@gmail.com or like my Facebook page. There are so many better options than Purina or Iams!
I will keep this page updated with pictures and info as he grows for all those who have requested it.
